The Millennium Development Goals The eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) range
from halving extreme poverty to halting the spread of HIV/AIDS and providing universal
primary education, all by the target date of 2015 –agreed to by all the world’s countries
and all the world’s leading development institutions.
Business for Millennium Development (B4MD) aims to support Australian businesses to operate, innovate and grow in true partnership with the communities in which they operate. The vision for B4MD is that companies would realise the business opportunities provided by aligning core business with the MDG, which seeks to eliminate global poverty.
The MDG Assessment Tool Version 1.0 is an instrument that helps companies measure core business contribution to all 8 MDG’s ratified by the UN.
