Australian Business Volunteers
ABV sends volunteers, including those from the corporate sector, on short-term assignments to assist developing countries ncrease their overall business skill base. ABV currently operates in countries in South-East Asia and the Pacific, with 11 in-country managers, 15 supporting agents and 16 staff in its Canberra head office.
As well as assisting organisations in utilizing their staff as volunteers, ABV has a database of over 1,000 volunteers with skills ranging from trades to senior business management. ABV has relationships with business partners and professional organisations in the region.
ABV also has a series of 'off the shelf' training modules in governance, entrepreneurship, management, AIDS and managing disability in business.
